Bruce Conforti, New Work, A One-Man Show will open at the Gallery
324 in the Galleria on January 20th at 5 pm. Featuring the work
(surprise!) of Bruce Conforti, a widely known artist whose vivid and
powerful abstracts are in museums and private collections all over the
country. A strong color sense and an athletic kineticism characterize
Conforti's work, on canvases from 24 x 24 to 72 x 60. The show is at the
top of the escalator from the heated underground free parking garage at
the Galleria, right in
the middle of the mall, at Gallery 324.

As a bonus, Jean Balbin's first showing in some time will be in the East
Palm Court between Gallery 324 and the Beyond the Pringted Page
Show. From the Rembrandt-like hooded lighting of "Harris Hawk" to the
after-light of "Ending Storm" to the brilliance of "White Egret". You can
also enjoy her wicked sense of humor in such pieces as "Tiger Lilies"
and "Toad Stools". Free to the public.

The Fifth Annual Great Lakes Publishing Staff Art Show, "Beyond The
Printed Page" (Cleveland, Ohio, and Inside Business Magazines) will be
held at the Galleria at 1301East Ninth Street on Friday, January 20th
from 5 - 9 pm. There will be 48 artists, showing between 60 and 100
works for sale. Previous shows have been enormously successful, but
this year we offer free parking at The Galleria, and the chance to
rediscover the Galleria itself. The Show is in the former Limited and
Victoria's Secret space at the East, or 12th Street, end of the mall. $10
at the door.

At the Artists' Studio, Art Review Magazine, at the 9th Street Entrance to
the Galleria, is sponsoring an art show featuring prints by Omar Vizquel,
along with original work by Jerry Schmidt, Anna Gerrodette, Alice
Kiderman, Jill Hungerford, Billy Nainiger, Vadim Nemirovsky, Brock
Winans, Carl Snyder, Gary Roberts, and Marcus Bales, in a wide variety
of media. The show will be in the Art Studio, across from Ann Taylor, at
the West, or 9th Street, end of the mall. From stainless steel and marble
sculptures, to glass, to oils, watercolors, collage, and more, this show
promises to have a big impact, starting at 5 pm, Friday, January 20,
2006, and will run 10-6 weekdays and 10-4 Saturday through March 10,
2006. Free to the public.

Walter Allen Rogers, Jr. will show his existing and new work in the 324
Gallery Annex between the Beyond the Printed Page Show and the
Bruce Conforti New Work Show, off the East Palm Court. Rogers's work
is powerfully erotic with an astonishing color sense. starting at 5 pm,
Friday, January 20, 2006, and will run 10-6 weekdays and 10-4
Saturday through February 4, 2006. Free to the public.

Galleria - an exciting display of vivid portraits of rock artists, expertly
expressed on canvas in his unique style, from Aretha to Zappa. The
Show starts at 5 pm, Friday, January 20, 2006. Free to the public.

The Charles Herndon Show, "Glacial Erratica" will also be running
concurrently with these openings, in the East Palm Court and at Gallery
324. Herndon's strong sculptures are erotic, powerful, and amusing,
sometimes all at once. You can see them at the East 9th and East 12th
street entrances outside, and in the 12th Street lobby, as well as the in
the Erieview Room Gallery and Gallery 324. The show has been running
