The Players Guild Theatre of Canton announces auditions for its upcoming
production of "Godspell" to be directed and musical directed by Ryan
Bergeron. 

Auditions are set for Sunday, February 5th and Monday, February 6th at
6pm. 

Please prepare a contemporary musical theatre cutting approximately 30
seconds in length. The cutting should showcase your vocal range and
ability as well as your personality. If possible, please prepare a
second, contrasting selection. A variety of musical styles will be used
in this production and non-traditional and flexible casting is
anticipated. 

Also, please be prepared for a movement audition. 

Callbacks are planned for Tuesday, February 7th at 7pm. 

The show runs on the Players Guild Mainstage, March 24- April 9 with
performances on Fridays and Saturdays at 8pm and Sundays at 2:30pm. 

Conceived and originally directed by John-Michael Tebelak, with music
and new lyrics by Stephen Schwartz, "Godspell" is one of the biggest
off-Broadway and Broadway successes of all time.

Based on the Gospel According to St. Matthew, and featuring a sparkling
score by Stephen Schwartz, "Godspell" boasts a string of well-loved
songs, led by the international hit, "Day By Day." As the cast performs
"Prepare Ye The Way Of The Lord," "Learn Your Lessons Well," "All For
The Best," "All Good Gifts," "Turn Back, O Man" and "By My Side," the
parables of Jesus Christ come to life. "Godspell" is a groundbreaking
and unique reflection on the life of Jesus, with a message of kindness,
tolerance and love.
