Southern Rep Fundraiser Event January 30th at The Play House
Hurricane Katrina left many in need, including a fellow regional =
theatre,
Southern Rep. Located in downtown New Orleans, Southern Rep was damaged =
by
the hurricane, but it was devastated by the looting that followed. A
temporary office space had been donated; however its use was =
discontinued
when FEMA officials took it over.=20

At 7:30 p.m. Monday, January 30, 2006, on the set of its production of
Tennessee Williams=92 classic drama, set in New Orleans, A Streetcar =
Named
Desire, The Play House, along with participating theatres that include =
the
Beck Center for the Arts, Cleveland Public Theater, Dobama Theatre, =
Ensemble
Theater, Great Lakes Theater Festival, and Karamu House, will host a =
staged
reading of the play that would have opened the Southern Rep=92s =
2005-2006
season.=20

Callie=92s Tally: An Accounting of Baby=92s First Year (Or: What My =
Daughter
Owes Me) by Betsy Howie is a solo piece that will be read by four local
actresses: Nina Domingue, Tracee Patterson, Laura Perotta and Elizabeth =
Ann
Townsend. All proceeds will benefit the Southern Rep. Tickets, for a =
minimum

Theatre Opening Postponed/Gallery Opening Still On
