this Sunday, January 29th at 4:00p.m.

TICKETS ARE STILL AVAILABLE... AND WILL BE ON SALE THIS SUNDAY
BEGINNING AT 2:30p.m.

This madcap musical is the adventure of chorus girl Lorelei Lee, a role
made famous on Broadway by Carol Channing in 1949 and on screen by
Marilyn Monroe in the 1950s. Set in the roaring '20s, "Gentlemen Prefer
Blondes" tells the story of the fun-loving and hedonistic gold-digger
Lorelei and her sail aboard the Ile de France to Paris with her chum
Dorothy Shaw, another ex-Follies girl.=20

Lorelei and Dorothy are about to embark on the Ile de France to cruise
to Europe, where Lorelei is to marry the delightfully rich Gus Esmond,
son of 's Button King. Unfortunately, Gus announces at the last minute
two disturbing developments: first that his father insists he stay
behind for an important button conference, so he can't travel with the
girls, and second that he has heard worrying news about a new invention
called the zipper, which just might ruin his great button empire!=20

The girls set about enjoying the cruise without Gus. They have plenty of
help, notably from the American Olympic Team who are also en route to
Paris. Also on board are Mrs. Spofford, the richest widow in
Philadelphia, and her son Henry, who takes to Dorothy in a big way.
There is an English couple too - Sir Francis and Lady Beekman, who has a
tiara that Lorelei just knows would look best on her own blonde head.
And there is Josephus Gage, a hearty young man who turns out to be
America's Zipper King. So when Lorelei gets a wireless message from Gus
that his father has found out about a little escapade of hers with a
revolver in Little Rock and it looks like the wedding is off, it is only
logical that she should turn her attention to Josephus and Sir Francis.=20

Eventually, Lorelei succeeds in getting her tiara and her Gus, and
arranges a merger between the button business and the zipper business
that looks to bring success and lots more diamonds in her future.=20

The score is packed with lively, chipper melodies which evoke the
fancy-free age of the late twenties, such as "A Little Girl From Little
Rock," "Bye Bye Baby," the title song, and of course, the best known
song from the score, "Diamonds Are A Girls Best Friend."=20

Tickets: $34.00/Orchestra; $27.00/Mezzanine... You won't have more fun
doing anything else this Sunday afternoon!!
