Hey! How do you get to Playhouse Square?=20

(Everybody - all together now: "Practice, practice, practice.")

=20

OK, now how do you get behind the scenes at Playhouse Square?=20

Come to the Euclid Avenue: Past - Present - Future Lecture Series at the
Western Reserve Historical Society!

=20

As part of Millionaires' Row: The Legacy of Euclid Avenue, the WRHS
lecture series,* on Saturday, February 11 is a presentation by John
Hemsath, operations director at Playhouse Square. Come and hear the
story of the origins of the buildings as vaudeville houses and movie
theaters, and the stars and shows that appeared there - the unfortunate
decline of the theater district and how the venues were saved from the
wreckers' ball to become a glittering centerpiece for the city!=20

=20

The lecture starts at 11:00 a.m., at the WRHS complex at East Blvd. in
University Circle. After a break, you can catch a ride on Lolly the
Trolley to the Square at 1:00, get a behind the scenes walk-through tour
and be back to WRHS by 3:00 pm. (You know, see some of those other
theaters - the ones in which you didn't appear on stage - yet!)=20

=20

The lecture is free with admission. (Admission to WRHS: $8.50/adults,
$7.50 seniors, $5.00 children 3-12). To take the trolley, tickets are
$15 ($10 for WRHS members). Yes, you can attend the lecture and not take
the trolley. Reservations are required. You can make them by calling
216.721.5722 x 229, or e-mail rkueber at wrhs.org.

=20

Best wishes,

=20
