The Play =20
The group therapy sessions have been going on for some time now. The women=20
are desperate, smart, sassy, affectionate, aware, and determined women who=20
give and get support in spirited weekly meetings. Their therapist is Grace,=
 who=20
is on her third marriage. A hesitant new member, alters the chemistry of th=
e=20
group and stimulates a round of evocative and uplifting breakthroughs. Wome=
n=E2=80=99
s issues (and women=E2=80=99s issues with men) are explored with humor, wit=
, and=20
sensitivity. The vibrant score ranges from hysterical Broadway patter to=20
no-holds-barred gospel and good-time doowop.  =20
The New York Times wrote: =E2=80=9CThe characters seem like real people eve=
n when=20
they sing and dance. =E2=80=A6 A bright, witty and wise musical comedy abou=
