 ANNA IN THE TROPICS
Auditions at Cassidy Theatre

Auditions for ANNA IN THE TROPICS by Nilo Cruz will be held at the Cassidy Theatre February 26th and 27th.

ABOUT THE SHOW:  Winner of the 2003 Pulitzer Prize,  ANNA IN THE TROPICS is a beautiful lyrical drama set in a Cuban-American cigar factory in Florida in 1929.  As was the custom, a “reader” would read to the workers from the classics as a form of education.  When a new reader begins “Anna Karenina”,  Tolstoy, the tropics and the American dream become a volatile combination.

PRODUCTION DATES:  April 28 – May 14, 2006

AUDITION DATES:  Sunday, February 26th at 7:00 p.m.
                                    Monday, February 27th at 7:00 p.m.

ARTISTIC STAFF: Directed by Lester Currie

NEEDED: 5 men and 5 women.  Preferably Latino or Of Color.  
                   Age range 20 – 65 years.
