Square Peg Promotions is proud to welcome home one of Stark County’s own! While home in Massillon to receive the Distinguished Alumnus Award from Washington High School, Jill Colucci will join her friends, recording artists Kennedy-Rose, on stage for an intimate evening “in the round.” Jill was a regular on Channel 5’s “The Gene Carroll Show” in the 1970s. Among her credits are songs she has written songs for major recording artists Wynonna Judd (“No One Else On Earth”), Travis Tritt, and Anne Murray, among many others. She also wrote the award-winning theme song for “America’s Funniest Home Videos,” and a host of TV series, TV movies, and films. MaryAnn Kennedy and Pam Rose have written songs for major recording artists that include Art Garfunkel, Restless Heart, Martina McBride, Reba McIntyre, Patty Loveless, Pam Tillis, Rosanne Cash, Tammy Wynette, Maia Sharp, and many more. They made two records for Sting’s Pangaea
recording label, and are currently tracking with EmmyLou Harris, with whom they’ll tour internationally this spring. Local favorite, Ryan Humbert (with Emily Bates), will open the evening with an acoustic set. Proceeds will benefit Washington High School’s Alumni Scholarship Fund.
