SHOW DESCRIPTION:

"Don't get me wrong, I'm not complaining.
Times have been good, fast, entertaining.
But what's the point if I'm concealing
Not only love, all other feelings?"

The collaborators on Chess are giants of rock music and rock musicals. Tim
Rice (Jesus Christ Superstar, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat,
Evita) and Bjorn Ulvaeus and Benny Anderson, the guys from ABBA have created a
complex rock opera that in the mid '80s ran for three years in London and then
went on to Broadway. Here the ancient game of chess becomes a metaphor for
romantic rivalries, competitive gamesmanship, super power politics and
international intrigues. From Bangkok to Budapest the players, lovers, politicians, and
spies manipulate and are manipulated to the pulse of a monumental rock score
that includes "One Night in Bangkok" and "Heaven Help My Heart."
"One of the best rock scores ever produced. This is an angry,
difficult, demanding and
       rewarding show."---Time.
