Weathervane Playhouse Announces

OPEN AUDITIONS for STREETS OF HOME

Weathervane Playhouse will hold OPEN AUDITIONS for the new musical =
STREETS OF HOME, Monday and Tuesday, March 6 & 7 at 7:30 p.m. No =
appointmenet is needed. Auditions will be held at Weathervane Playhouse, =
1301 Weathervane Lane, Akron, In the Valley off Merriman Road.

Cast requirements: 16 WOMEN (age 6 - 60, 6 speaking or featured roles, =
10 minor roles, 2 or more African Americans one of which is a young =
girl)

16 MEN (age 6 - 70, 9 speaking/featured roles, 7 minor roles, 1 or more =
African American)

Please prepare a short monologue and one song. A keyboard accompanist =
will be provided. Bring sheet music in the correct key or a tape to =
accompany your song.

This production is a Weathervane Step-Up Production. Written by Chuck =
Keiper and Bonnie Eaver, this piece was first presented as a Salon =
Reading called "Immigrant" this past September. Performances will be =
presented on Weathervane's mainstage April 3 & 4, 2006.

Director: Dr. Susan Speers is a Professor of Theatre Arts, teaches =
acting, directing, musical theatre; frequent actor and is a frequent =
director in the Northeast Ohio area who production of Inherit the Wind =
is currently playing at The University of Akron.

Weathervane Playhouse is committed to non-traditional casting. Except in =
cases where race, gender, age or disability is essential to the play, =
all roles will be cast on the basis of talent. Weathervane Playhouse is =
a community theater. All performers in all productions are volunteers. =
