Director of Communications - Cleveland Public Theatre

Job Description Cleveland Public Theatre, an adventurous not-for-profit
performing arts organization, is seeking a Director of Communications to
manage all aspects of marketing, sales, and public relations. This is a new
position which reflects the organization's commitment to an enhanced and
comprehensive communications and sales strategy. Expectations for the
position include strengthening coverage in local, regional, and national
media; developing and implementing strategies to reach box-office goals;
undertaking membership, single ticket, and group campaigns; and maintaining
the theatre's website. Other duties include implementing results of market
research and participating in initiatives to expand earned income and reach
new markets. 

Qualifications: The ideal candidate will demonstrate success in marketing,
sales, and/or public relations efforts in a small to midsize non-profit arts
organization, and have direct experience in the following areas: media
relations, print and broadcast advertising, graphic design, e-marketing,
print and online publishing, direct mail, budgeting, and survey research. He
or she will be highly organized, deadline oriented, computer savvy, possess
strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work well independently and
as part of a team. 

Reports to:   Executive Artistic Director. Starts April 2006. Reviews start
immediately and continue until position is filled.
