AUDITIONS!!!
for Cochran Productions next Children's Musical...

will be Wednesday, March 8th at the
WADSWORTH PUBLIC LIBRARY
MEETING ROOM B
6:00 P.M.
Please prepare a SHORT selection of music to sing A Capella
and to read from the script.

Ages: 12-19 are able to audition

Yo, ho! Get ready for a swashbuckling musical comedy with a host of hysterical characters on deck. When Captain Jennings’ crew jumps ship upon sighting the pirates in the distance, he’s left with only a handful of prisoners and Fergus, a sailor who can’t swim, to protect his wealthy passengers from the attack. Surrounded by Captain Bree and her hearty crew of mates, you’ll find the pretentious Madam Prescot, humorously demanding respect (ha!) from the pirates; Samuel Prescot, masquerading as a girl to avoid becoming shark bait; and Julia Prescot, bursting with desire to join the lady pirates—much to her aunt’s dismay! After the pirates send the cabin boy out to sea with a ransom note demanding gold in exchange for the Prescot’s lives, they begin to show Julia the ropes of pirating. You’ll plunge into suspense when Fergus is out on “The Plank” with the tip of Julia’s sword at his back. But you’ll bounce right back into belly laughs when the pirates, now including Julia, order the
captives (including her aunt!) to swab the decks in the lively “Shipshape and Bristol Fashion.” But what is in store when a British fleet arrives, set on hanging the pirates for their deeds? Will Captain Jennings act on his feelings for Captain Bree and help save her and her crew’s lives?
