Ken Ludwig's comedy LEND ME A TENOR

www.weathervaneplayhouse.com

Weathervane Playhouse is pleased to present Ken Ludwig's comic farce =
LEND ME A TENOR. The setting is a hotel suite in Cleveland in 1934. The =
curtain will soon rise on the Cleveland Grand Opera Company's =
season-opening gala, which promises to be spectacular thanks to a =
starring role by Tito Merelli, a world-famous tenor nicknamed "Il =
Stupendo" by his adoring fans. The great tenor, however, is a bit of a =
drunken rover and, through a series of comic mishaps, takes too many =
sleeping pills causing the opera company officials to scramble for a =
replacement. Max, the nerdy opera company gofer who harbors fantasies of =
being a great tenor himself, dons the Otello costume and is shoved into =
the spotlight! You'll roar with laughter at this comic farce which =
thrusts high society types into desperately comic situations that come =
complete with mistaken identities, slamming doors and crazy, hilarious =
shenanigans!

Cast: Tom Stephan, Timothy H. Champion, Henry C. Bishop, Scott Shriner, =
Linda Graske, Karen Wood, Melanie Korman Roddy, Amanda Davis

Director: Nancy Cates (ssdc) Artistic Co-Director of the Ohio =
Shakespeare Festival

Alfred Anderson -- Opera Consultant and Vocal Coach
