POSITION ANNOUNCEMENT
SOLON CENTER FOR THE ARTS
PART TIME FRONT DESK RECEPTIONIST

The Solon Center for the Arts has an immediate opening for the position of =
Part Time front desk receptionist. Primary hours for this position will be =
Monday through Thursday, afternoon and evening hours, and every other =
Saturday during the day - totaling 20 to 25 hours per week.  However, =
there may be additional evening and weekend hours depending on production/e=
xhibition and special event schedules.   =20

Interested candidates must have experience and a proven track record of =
positive interaction with the public in person and on the phone. The =
candidate must be able to maintain accurate records with regards to =
scheduling of classes and teacher assignments.  Additional responsibilities=
 include registrar/box office duties, maintaining an accurate accountabilit=
y of money received from various classes and/or ticket sales.  Excellent =
interpersonal communication, organizational and problem-solving skills are =
a must. The ability to multi-task is required. Previous work experience in =
the arts or an arts background is a plus along with knowledge of Microsoft =
Word, Access, and Excel. =20

The successful candidate will be slotted at Grade A on Solon=92s Wage =
Scale offering an hourly rate of $11.06.  Benefits include the accrual of =
sick leave along with participation in the Ohio Public Employees Retirement=
 System.=20
