AUDITIONS FOR THE NERD AT SOLON CENTER FOR THE ARTS

	Solon Center for the Arts announces auditions for =93The Nerd=94 =
by Larry Shue, the final production of the 2005-06 MainStage Season.  =
Audition times will be scheduled every 10 minutes on Tuesday, March 14 =
beginning at 6:30 pm to 9:00 pm.  =20

	Director Jacqi Loewy, who most recently directed SCA=92s season=92s=
 critically acclaimed You=92re A Good Man, Charlie Brown, and Bad Dates, =
is looking for a man in his thirty=92s for the role of Willum, and a boy 8 =
to 12 years of age who plays an eight year old.  Actors should be come =
prepared to read from the script.

	.  =93The Nerd=94 is about an aspiring young architect and ex-GI, =
Willum Cubbert, who has no idea his life is about to change on the night =
of his thriry-fourth birthday. Rick Steadman, a felloe ex-GI who saved =
Willum=92s life in Vietnam, shows up on his doorstep to stay.  But =
Willum=92s delight at finally meeting the man who saved him soon fades as =
it becomes apparent that Rick is a bumbling oaf with no social sense, =
little intelligence and not tact - overall a hopeless nerd.  This leads to =
uproarious laughter and an ending you would never suspect!

	Dates of the production are May 5, 6, 12 and 13 at 7:30 pm, with a =
Sunday Matinees on May 7 at 2:00 pm. =20
