Stars of <st1:place><st1:PlaceName>Medina</st1:PlaceName> <st1:PlaceType>County</st1:PlaceType></st1:place> will shine on April 1<o:p></o:p>

            Don’t be left in the dark when the “Stars of Medina County” sparkle and shine on the main stage of the Medina Performing Arts Center to raise funds for this year’s summer musical. This year’s benefit event is scheduled for Saturday, April 1, 2006 at 7 pm. Special pre-concert entertainment in the lobby, beginning at 6 pm, will give audience members a chance to visit various concession stands offering everything from coffee and snacks to t-shirts and mugs. <o:p></o:p>
Among the stars scheduled to perform are:Lillian Spetrino, Jake Ulmer, Melissa Kronenberger, Oasis Dance Troupe (belly dancing), Limited Edition Barbershop Quartet, Elizabeth Hargrove, James and Heather Kovach, and Dan Hunter. <o:p></o:p>
This year’s summer musical will be The King and I by Rodgers and Hammerstein. Yul Brynner and Gertrude Lawrence starred in this 1951 Broadway show that tells the story of an English governess and the king of <st1:country-region><st1:place>Siam</st1:place></st1:country-region>. Musical favorites include “I Whistle a Happy Tune” and “Shall We Dance?” The <st1:City><st1:place>Medina</st1:place></st1:City> performances are being produced by the newly-renamed CAMEO (Cooperative Alliance of Medina Entertainment Organizations), a collaborative venture of the 
<st1:place><st1:PlaceName>Medina</st1:PlaceName> <st1:PlaceType>City</st1:PlaceType> <st1:PlaceType>Schools</st1:PlaceType></st1:place>, the Medina County Performing Arts Foundation, and Medina County Show Biz Company.<o:p></o:p>
Tickets for “Stars of Medina County” are $10 for adults and $8 for students and seniors. Tickets may be reserved by calling the box office at 330-636-3400. All seats are general admission.<o:p></o:p>
