2006 Free Times Award Winner Susan Weber in Concert!
Thanks to everyone who voted for Susan!

Susan Weber is one Cleveland’s most active and rising performing songwriters. During the past year, she and her rock band, Susan Weber and Monet’s Orbit, have been firing up audiences with her lyric-rich beat-driven original rock. 'Swagger mixed with savvy,' says The Scene, a Cleveland entertainment weekly.

The Cleveland Free Times gave Susan its 2006 Best Female Singer-Songwriter Award.

This recognition capped a year of high-profile public appearances during 2005 with her band, including the historic Hessler Street Fair, Cleveland’s first ever Ingenuity Festival, the Cleveland Peace Show, and the Ritz Theater. The year also featured an interview in The Scene, and frequent shows at the Barking Spider.

2006 promises to be no less busy, as she completes her CD, and performs at the 2006 Ingenuity Festival, the Free Times-sponsored Earth Day Concert at the Cleveland Zoo, a radio concert on WRUW’s Live From Cleveland, and TV appearances on Tri-C’s Crooked River Groove and Words & Music. She plans to tour following the CD release.

Ms Weber, who co-founded the Northeast Ohio Songwriters Circle, has received an Honor Award from the Great American Song Contest.

Of her self-styled ‘moxy rock', critic Steven Fregeau says, 'the music pulls the narrative into its brightness. The singing is an explosion of beautiful deeply understandable lyrics and sounds.'

Susan Weber is represented by Campbell Artist Management.
