This Sunday, April 9th, from 1pm to 5:30pm, Stark ACT1 will wrap up with
"Celebration of the Arts" at the Kent State University Stark Campus Fine
Arts Building. 
Celebration of the Arts will offer free workshops, exhibits and
performances in vocal and instrumental music, dance, theater, creative
writing, and several genres of visual arts. 
SARTA will provide free shuttle service throughout the afternoon to and
from the west end of the Alliance Walmart parking lot; to and from the
southwest part of the Massillon Kmart parking lot on Lincoln Way East;
and to and from the Cornerstone Parking Lot in Canton, on the corner of
Cherry and Tuscarawas Streets. (For specific times, check the ACT1

At 4:30pm, the Honorary Chairpersons, Mayor Toni E. Middleton of
Alliance; Mayor Janet Weir Creighton of Canton; and Massillon Safety
Service Director Mike Loudiana (standing in for Mayor Francis H.
Cicchinelli of Massillon) will give the audience a collaborative
performance of their own!
Food, beverages, art, music, and specially-made "Kids' Craft Kits" will
be available for purchase during the entire event. Casual attire is
acceptable and encouraged. 
All ages are welcome.
Stark ACT1, organized by a grassroots committee of volunteers, seeks to
raise awareness of the arts; to increase participation in the arts; and
to build connections between the arts and the community.
