Lakewood, Ohio - In cooperation with the Cuyahoga County Board of Mental
Retardation and Developmental Disabilities (CCMRDD) and the Rocky River
Adult Activities Center (RRAAC), the Beck Center for the Arts presents
Razzle Dazzle VII - One-Hit Wonders on Friday and Saturday, April 21 and
22, at 7:30 p.m. in the Music-Armory Building of the Beck Center campus.
A special opening night benefit performance will be held on Friday
evening.  Tickets are $10 and proceeds will benefit the Creative Arts
Therapies program at the Beck Center.   To reserve tickets, call the
Beck Center Box Office at 216-521-2540. =20

This year's show pays tribute to, and pokes fun at, artists who made
music history with just one song!  The performance will feature one-hit
wonders from the last four decades.  The opening night benefit will also
include a reception and raffle after the show, as well as an opportunity
to mix and mingle with the talented cast and crew.  After the
performance, guests are invited to view a "Razzle Dazzle" display of
artwork created by the distinguished and dedicated artists who
participate in the Beck Center's Creative Arts Therapies program.
Saturday's performance is free and open to the public and will feature
special appearances by the University School Jazz Combo, the Maple
Heights AAC Choirs and the Testosteronies, the RRAAC Men's Group.

The arts have always served as a means of entertainment and personal
expression.  Creative Arts Therapies was introduced as an accepted
method of therapy in the 20th century.  It is the prescribed and
therapeutic use of the arts to facilitate change or to maintain
functioning and contribute to the overall quality of life.  Music and
art therapists serve people of all ages with special needs.  Through
therapy, the arts are used to promote personal growth, so all
individuals may further develop skills that help maximize their
potential.

The Beck Center for the Arts is located just ten minutes from downtown
Cleveland at 17801 Detroit Avenue in Lakewood.  There is a $2 general
