About the film:
"The World Without US," looks at United States military involvement
around the world and seeks to answer the question of whether the
international community could function without us. The motivation for
this project stems from the growing dissension among the American public
to our military foreign policies and the increasing desire to refocus
our resources internally, solving domestic problems instead of spending
US tax dollars on resolving international disputes. "The World Without
US" explores the hypothetical future of the world without US military
involvement in order to demonstrate the important stabilizing effect the
US has in the world.
Director Jason J. Tomaric and Producer Mitch Anderson have traveled to
20 countries and interviewed political leaders, military officials and
economic experts to paint a complete international picture of a world
without the United States military.
About the filmmaker:
Jason J. Tomaric has enjoyed national success as an award-winning
director. Winning over 15 Emmy, Telly and Golden CINE Awards for his
directing work alone, Mr. Tomaric owns and operates Quantus Pictures,
Inc., a complete motion-picture production facility. Tomaric has two
feature films in international distribution, over two dozen
award-winning commercials and productions for clients such as
McDonald's, Microsoft, Hitachi, Paul Mitchell, Disney and RCA Records on
the air, and a comprehensive interactive DVD film school in use in film
schools around the world.
His first feature film, "Clone," which involved 3,000 extras, over 58
locations such as NASA, nuclear power plants, cathedrals and underground
caverns and 650 digital effects premiered to over 1,300 people at
Cleveland's lavish Palace Theatre and attracted the attention of
numerous studios including Sony Pictures who screened the film as part
of the digital conference at the Sundance Film Festival. The film is
currently will be released on DVD and television around the world in
July, 2006.
His current production, "The World Without US," studies the
ramifications of a US military withdrawal from the world. Traveling to
over 20 countries, Mr. Tomaric has worked with political, military and
economic leaders around the globe in assessing the role of the US
military. The production is slated to be complete in September, 2006.
Mr. Tomaric has also directed and produced "The Ultimate Filmmaking
Kit," a comprehensive multimedia educational guide for independent
filmmakers that has sold thousands of sets around the world. Author of
"The Production Manual," Mr. Tomaric's first book has just been released
and provides practical tips and tricks to low-budget filmmakers.

Mr. Tomaric has taught dozens of workshops across the country at some of
the nation's most prestigious universities including UCLA and the New
York Film Academy. In addition, he works with young filmmakers in
elementary and middle schools through his Artist in Residency program.
