AUDITIONS
for our YOUNG ACTORS ENSEMBLE
teen summer acting camp
Sunday, April 23 1:00-6:00pm
Sunday, May 7 1:00-6:00pm
Young Actors Ensemble is a theatre camp for students who are ready to make a serious commitment to the craft of theatre performance. In this challenging program, creativity, collaboration, and discipline are emphasized as students explore the acting process in a supportive and nurturing environment. The Young Actors Ensemble provides a balance between studio work and performance by culminating in a showcase production of the students' work at the end of the session.
Age requirements: students entering grades 9-12 in fall 2006 and recent 2006 high school grads.
In order to give more individual attention to each student, the enrollment is limited to 25 students.
ALL ability levels will be considered. The student's depth of dedication to learning about the craft of theatre will be considered in the audition process.
Areas of focus:
acting technique
movement
improvisation
vocal work
The final showcase, An Actor's Journey, will consist of scripted scene work and original pieces from the students' work during the session.
