FusionFest continues at The Play House!
NeOhioPal members - take advantage of a special Buy One Get One FREE offer
for the following FusionFest events and, for every ticket purchased at
regular price, receive one ticket "on The House" (up to a limit of four)!
This offer is valid for the following FusionFest performances:

Church House Rocks 9:30 p.m. Friday, May 12. Regularly priced tickets: $20.
Presented by The Cleveland Play House Cabaret, Church House Rocks offers up
"Billie Club Band," a musical/dance tribute to the late great Billie
Holiday.
Lunacy, a Next Stage reading of a new play by Sandra Perlman, Wednesday, May
10 at 7:30 p.m. in The Brooks. Regularly priced tickets: $10.00. Directed by
Mark Alan Gordon featuring AMANDA DUFFY, DAN HAMMOND, MICHAEL REGNIER and
stage directions by ANNIE PAUL. In the spring of 1827 the rising
Shakespearean actor Edwin Forrest is rehearsing King Lear when a determined
young Quaker woman, Cornelia Lamb, temps him with the possibility of meeting
the perfect Lear- her father, Benjamin who is now a patient at Friends
Asylum and speaks only in Shakespeare's words. Is it lunacy or genius that
drives Benjamin's king? Compassion or ambition that brings Forrest to the
Asylum? Greif or loneliness that drives Cornelia? What is the price of
playing the perfect Lear? Sandra Perlman is a member of the Cleveland Play
House Playwrights' Unit.
Sam and Lucy, a Next Stage reading of a new play by Brooke Berman, Thursday,
May 11 at 7:30 p.m. in The Brooks. Regularly priced tickets: $10.00.
Directed by Seth Gordon, Sam and Lucy is the story of a young woman who is
exploring who her parents really are, while meanwhile her father is in
search of her, her mother's ex-lover takes her out to lunch and her mother
has fun watching it all unfold. At the search's end we learn something very
unexpected, and Lucy is ready to face the world on her own. Sam and Lucy is
a mischievous and fun play by one of America's hottest young playwrights.
Featuring THOMAS DEGNAN, BRUCE MacVITTIE, ANDREW MAY, ELIZABETH ANN
TOWNSEND, MELYNEE SAUNDERS WARREN, MERRITT WEVER and stage directions by
BETSY HOGG.
Astrid Hadad, international cabaret performer, brings her magical-realist
show to the Bolton Theatre Saturday, May 13 at 7:30 p.m. Regularly priced
tickets: $34.00. Featuring a myriad of musical styles -- ranchera, bolero,
rumba, rock, and jazz -- as well as an array of provocative characters, Ms.
Hadad is not to be missed. No one under 18 permitted. Presented as part of
The Cleveland Museum of Art's "VIVA! And Gala Around Town" Series.
