   YOUNG ACTORS ENSEMBLE 
  summer theatre camp for teens
   
  Young Actors Ensemble is a theatre camp for students who are ready to make a serious commitment to the craft of theatre performance. In this challenging program, creativity, collaboration, and discipline are emphasized as students explore the acting process in a supportive and nurturing environment. The Young Actors Ensemble provides a balance between studio work and performance by culminating in a showcase production of the students' work at the end of the session. 
   
  Age requirements: students entering grades 9-12 in fall 2006 and recent 2006 high school grads.
   
  In order to give more individual attention to each student, the enrollment is limited to 25 students.
   
  ALL ability levels will be considered. The student's depth of dedication to learning about the craft of theatre will be considered in the audition process. 
   
  Areas of focus: 
  acting technique 
  improvisation
  movement
  ensemble work
  vocal work 
   
  The final showcase, An Actor's Journey, will consist of scripted scene work and original pieces from the students' work during the session. 
   
  CAMP DATES 
  June 20-August 2, 2006 (six weeks)
  Tuesdays and Thursdays 1:30pm-5:30pm
  Plus dress rehearsal on Monday, July 31, time TBD
  Attendance during the sixth week of camp and for all of the performances is mandatory. 
   
  PRODUCTION DATES
  Tuesday, August 1, 2006 7:30pm, 
  Wednesday, August 2, 2006 7:30pm
   
  tuition $275.00 plus registration fee
   
  AUDITION PREPARATION:
  Student must prepare a 1 minute contemporary monologue from a play or musical. Monologue must be memorized. 
   
  There will also be a short interview with the Program Director, Sandy Kosovich Peck.
