Dear Cleveland Theatre Community,
I am looking for a director for a short play that I am writing, called
"In the Midst of Passion". I am applying to be considered for the 2006-2007
[Big Box] Series at Cleveland Public Theatre, and I would like to find a
director for it, as I would really like to act in my own play.
It is a two character, one act play, that centers on the "love"
relationship between a man and woman. It is a commentary on the idea of
"love at first sight", sexual relations, and domestic violence.
There are three fight scenes in the play (hand-to-hand combat), so I
would prefer a director who also knows some fight choreography. This is a
great way for college students, with directing course experience, to gain
more experience and work with other emerging artists. If this project is
accepted into [Big Box] this is a volunteer position, but I expect my
director to act professionally at all times. Rehearsals would be at my
apartment. Go to http://www.cptonline.org for more information about [Big
Box] production dates and information, should this project be accepted.
I would like to stress that this project is only dependent upon the
status of my application to [Big Box]. However, I am in the process of
filling out the application, and I need to find a director ASAP. I would
also like to stress that this is a WORK IN PROGRESS, and although the basic
"skeleton" is there, it will most likely change slightly within the next few
months - as a continue to revise.
If you are interested, please email me at dmw_theatreworks at hotmail.com,
or call me at (216) 272-0104. Thank you.

Sincerely,
   Dena M. Warmuth
   Playwright
