“Cruisin’ Art” by Lori Diemer
Finds Parking in Downtown Cleveland!
Exhibit Cleveland, an organization that places artwork in vacant storefronts in Cleveland, has selected 4 images by Willoughby Photographer Lori Diemer, for their next installation.
The images will be on display beginning this Thursday, June 1, with a reception outside the storefront, from 5-6pm. The storefront is located at 1010 Euclid Avenue, near the corner of East 9th and Euclid.
The selected images are from Diemer’s “Cruisin’ Art” Series. Using a technique known as Polaroid Manipulation, Lori has created fun, colorful, and very unique “portraits” of classic cars photographed at local Classic Car Cruise-in’s. Polaroid manipulation goes beyond typical photography with the final images often appearing like paintings, especially when printed large on canvas, such as the images selected. The contemporary look and feel of the images make them ideal for use in commercial and residential spaces.
“Cruisin’ Art” will also be featured at FINESTRA Gallery, in Historic Downtown Willoughby, beginning June 17 from 4-10pm, during the City of Willougbhy’s Classic Car Cruise In. FINESTRA Gallery is located at 4076 Erie Street, (440)946-3313.
