Cleveland Public Theatre announces Maria Irene Fornes' Obie award-winning
play Fefu and Her Friends, playing June 1-17. Fefu and Her Friends is about
eight women who join together to change the world in 1935. Fefu and Her
Friends explores the power, joy, and fragility of life, and the struggle to
find peace with one's inner self.
Adventurous, insightful, disturbing and fun, Fefu and Her Friends takes
place in five different locations throughout CPT's Gordon Square Theatre.
Audience members travel through hallways, backstage rooms and alley ways as
they follow the action. Each performance culminates with a post show
discussion where audience can share their responses and learn more about the
work of Maria Irene Fornes. Join us as we delve into this stellar work by
one of America's master Latina playwrights.
