LORI DIEMER DRIVES “CRUISIN’ ART”
INTO DOWNTOWN WILLOUGHBY
FINESTRA Gallery will be “revved up” with “Cruisin’ Art”, by photographer Lori Diemer, during Willoughby’s Classic Car Cruise-In, on June 17, 2006, from 4-10pm.
“Cruisin’ Art”, on display through August, will feature a series of images Lori has captured at local car shows for the past 3 years. Car buffs will recognize the details and icons of their favorite classics.
Using a technique known as Polaroid Manipulation, Lori has created fun, colorful, and very unique “portraits” of the classic cars she has met. Polaroid Manipulation goes beyond typical photography with the final images often appearing like paintings. The contemporary look, and feel of the images make them ideal for use in commercial and residential spaces. Framed and matted prints, as well as large canvas prints, will be featured.
Lori Diemer, of DW Photography, is a native of Northeast Ohio and lives
in Willoughby. Her work has been awarded and exhibited at numerous venues around Northeast Ohio. She is an Artist Member of The RED Dot Project and Exhibit Cleveland, two organizations dedicated to the promotion of local artists to the downtown business community. She is also a member of the Western Reserve Photographic Society, the North American Nature Photography Association, and the Photographic Society of America.

Finds Parking in Downtown Cleveland!
Exhibit Cleveland, an organization that places artwork in vacant storefronts in Cleveland, has selected 4 images by Willoughby Photographer Lori Diemer, for their next installation.
The images will be on display beginning this Thursday, June 1, with a reception outside the storefront, from 5-6pm. The storefront is located at 1010 Euclid Avenue, near the corner of East 9th and Euclid.
The selected images are from Diemer’s “Cruisin’ Art” Series. Using a technique known as Polaroid Manipulation, Lori has created fun, colorful, and very unique “portraits” of classic cars photographed at local Classic Car Cruise-in’s. Polaroid manipulation goes beyond typical photography with the final images often appearing like paintings, especially when printed large on canvas, such as the images selected. The contemporary look and feel of the images make them ideal for use in commercial and residential spaces.
