STORYTELLERS AT CAIN PARK =B3TELL IT LIKE IT IS=B2 AND =B3TELL IT AGAIN=B2

CLEVELAND HEIGHTS, OH- Traditional African and African-American folktales
will be coming alive on the Alma Theater stage at Cain Park Friday, July 7,
2006 at 7:30pm.=20

Co-presented by the Cleveland Association of Black Storytellers (CABS),
these folktales will be presented by three seasoned performers. Baba Rashad=
,
an African culturalist and historian from Columbia University, travels
around the world telling stories and performing as historical figures from
such movements as the Underground Railroad. Donna Willingham, whose
storytelling is meant to educate and entertain, has been conducting story
hours in libraries for pre-school and elementary school children for over a
decade. She is known for her lively expression in vocal intonation and
facial and hand gestures. Barbara =B3Bobbie=B2 Wilson, a Cleveland social
worker, has been a member of CABS for three years even though she has been =
a
storyteller since the tender age of four.

Advance tickets for Tell It Like It Is are $16.00. Day of show tickets are
$18.00. Cleveland Heights residents presenting a Recreation ID and people
presenting a Military ID receive a $3.00 discount. Children=B9s tickets are 5=
0
percent off when attending with a parent if all attending family members
hold Cleveland Heights Recreation IDs. A $2.00 discount is available when
presenting a senior citizen ID, a student ID or a Friends of Cain Park
membership card. There is also a $2.00 discount off one ticket for members
of the Cleveland Association of Black Storytellers.

Don=B9t miss Yebo! Tell It Again in the Alma Theater, Friday July 7 from
1-2pm. CABS storytellers Jakkia Boyd and Barbara Fuller will be presenting
an afternoon storytelling session for children before the evening=B9s
performance of Tell It Like It Is. Tickets are $3.00 per child and $6.00 pe=
r
accompanying adult with no discounts.
