The Broadview Heights Spotlights Community Theater will be holding open aud=
itions for its Fall mainstage production, The Odd Couple (Female Version). =
 Director Michael Rogan is seeking adult performers (ages 18 and over) for =
all roles; six women and two men will be cast.  Auditions will be held Mond=
ay, June 26 and Tuesday, June 27 at 7:00 PM at the Broadview Heights Cultur=
al Arts Building, located on the Broadview Center property behind the Polic=
e Department (9543 Broadview Road =E2=80=93 1/2 mi. south of Rt. 82).  Read=
ings from the script will be provided.  Performance dates are Fridays and S=
aturdays, September 8-23, with a Sunday matinee on September 17.=20

The Odd Couple is a comedy written by Neil Simon.  The show begins with a g=
roup of women assembled at the apartment of Olive Madison, a bachelorette d=
ivorcee and a self-described slob.  Enter Florence Unger, a meticulous and =
tense gal who has just been separated from her husband.  As luck would have=
 it, the slob and the fuss-budget decide to room together =E2=80=93 with hi=
larious results.  The patterns of their own disastrous marriages begin to r=
eappear in this arrangement, and this, too, must end =E2=80=93 but not with=
out plenty of the duo=E2=80=99s outrageously funny antics. =20

Along with Olive and Florence, the characters Mickey, Vera, Sylvie, and Ren=
ee =E2=80=93 each with her own amusing traits =E2=80=93 form a circle of fr=
iends with a penchant for playing board games.  The brothers Manolo and Jes=
us round out the comedic cast of characters.  All roles are available.=20
