On Thursday, August 3rd, Art House presents its 2nd annual AH SEAN =
(Supporting Educators and Artists Network) Members Show at the Beck =
Center for the Arts. This year's theme, "A Face in the Crowd," =
showcasing an eclectic mix of work ranging from photography to drawings =
and mixed media. A members' only preview reception will take place from =
5:30-7:00 p.m. where the Best of Show Winner will provide a brief talk =
on his or her work. For the members' only preview, please RSVP by =
calling 216-398-8556 ext. 2. The reception is free and open to the =
public from 7:00-9:00 p.m., no reservations required.=20

Continuing Watercolors - Teen and Adult Workshop SPACE IS STILL =

2 days: Mondays, July 10 & 17 from 6:30-9:30 p.m.=20
Cost: $40 per student=20
$36 for Individual Level Members and above Studio supplies additional =
$20 for both members and non-members

Explore watercolors in this hands-on class. Students will learn painting =
techniques specific to the use of watercolors. All levels welcome. =
Additional fee for use of studio supplies or receive a list to purchase =
your own. Please indicate on your registration form your need.

JULY ART CAMP FOR CHILDREN 8-14 YEARS OLD - MONDAY THROUGH FRIDAY JULY =
17-21, 2006
SPACE IS STILL AVAILABLE IN ALL CLASSES!
*Cost to register for all day (all three classes only) for each session =
is $215 per student. Family Level members and above $195. Lunch is not =
provided, please provide your student with a bagged lunch.=20

Morning Class 9:00 - 11:00 a.m. Zooming at the Zoo: Outdoor Photography
Cost: $95 per person; $86 for Family Level Members and above

Students will venture out to the zoo for a time to collect images from =
various sites throughout the week. On Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, =
students must dropped off at the zoo and picked up at the zoo. Those =
students registered for all day will be walked back to Art House by =
staff. Students' photographs will be developed through Art House and =
final images will be used to create a composition in a photo-book. Each =
student will have an opportunity to evaluate his / her photo selection =
with the instructor, learning how to identify an image suitable for =
display. Limited space available. Includes film developing for 4 rolls & =
zoo admission, camera & film not included, supply list with details will =
be sent.

Afternoon Class 12:00-2:00 p.m. Out in the Wild: Animal Masks=20
Cost: $65 per person, all materials included; $58 for Family Level =
Members and above

A variety of materials will be used to create masks based on each =
student's favorite animal. The students' creativity and imagination will =
be challenged and their interest in the methods and material will be the =
pivotal point in creating each mask. Each student may create up to 2 =
masks, time permitting. Financial aide available for this class only. =
The best masks will be selected and permanently displayed in a public =
space. Selected students will receive a prize! Call for details.

Late Afternoon Class 3:00-5:00 p.m. Drawing Techniques
Cost: $60 per person, all materials included; $54 for Family Level =
Members and above

Students will explore basic drawing techniques during this weeklong =
class. An introduction to portraiture as well as fundamental skills of =
drawing from life will be taught. At the culmination of the week =
students will combine work from daily classes to create a final =
composition of a collage of drawings.

Learn the technique of oil painting! Artists have used oil paints for =
hundreds of years. Explore the unique qualities of this time-honored =
medium. The class will provide information on the tools of the trade - =

and paint application. All levels welcome. Additional fee for use of =
studio supplies or receive a list to purchase your own. Please indicate =
on your registration form your need.
