  Avon Lake Public Schools started a string program just a few years ago. They have a teacher for beginning strings in their grade 5-6 building (Troy). It is a pull-out program during the school day. What they need is a teacher for the 7-8 building (Learwood) and the High School. At this point, because the program is in its infancy, there are not enough students to warrant a class period during the day. At present, lessons are before school at 7:00 a.m. 

 If you are a string person and are interested in a very part-time, very early morning commitment, contact the Avon Lake Public Schools.
