GRANTS WRITER

The Grants Writer is responsible for managing Great Lakes Theater
Festival's proposal writing process, including, but not limited to,
writing proposal letters and/or full proposals for foundation, corporate
and government gifts.  The Grants Writer also performs other
institutional writing assignments including the newsletter and the
Playbill.  The Grants Writer reports to the Development Director.

Qualified candidates should have a BA,  strong written and verbal
communications skills along with organizational skills and absolute
attention to detail.  Experience in writing grant proposals and other
fundraising materials as well as computer skills (MSWord and Excel) is
essential.   A self-starter, this person must have ability to use good
judgment, take initiative and make recommendations.  It is important
that the person in this position is able to initiate projects and work
independently while also working collaboratively with other members of
the GLTF team. Knowledge of and experience with non-profits, as well as
of the Greater Cleveland and Ohio philanthropic communities, is highly
desirable.  Writing samples required.

This is a full time exempt position that will require evening and
weekend hours at times.  Salary commensurate with experience and
