"Belles", a comedy-drama, tells the story of six Southern sisters in Two Acts and 45 phone calls.  

Six women are needed, ranging in age from 20s through 40s.

Cast Of Characters

Peggy - the eldest and the "caretaker".  Widowed, she lives back at 

home with Mama and feels it's her duty to notify her sisters of Mama's 

every ache and pain (at the start of the show, she's calling all of them 

to tell them Mama had eaten some bad tuna).

Roseanne - she is in crisis.  Her minister husband just left her, and 

when she calls for help, Suicide Prevention puts her on hold.

Aneece - the most successful sister, she is also the alcoholic.  She 

still harbors a great deal of bitterness towards Mama, and sarcasm is she 

favorite weapon.

Audrey - although happily married, her only child is little boy made 

out of wood: her ventriloquist's dummy, Huckle.  Although Audrey fancies 

that she is a good ventriloquist, she's actually quite bad at it, which 

she readily demonstrates.

Sherry - known this week as "Dust" and last week as "Colander".  She 

changes boyfriends as frequently as she changes names.  Her most recent 

Boyfriend is referred to as "Chore Boy."

Paige - the youngest sister and a graduate student.  She has the 

opposite problem as Sherry: Paige is too picky about men and has difficulty 

making it to a second date with any of her suitors.
