POSITION ANNOUNCEMENT

 CITY OF SOLON

SOLON CENTER FOR THE ARTS

Part Time Art and Music Teachers

Solon Center for the Arts is accepting applications for Part Time Art and =
Music educators to teach grades K-4 children in its Arts4Kids after-school =
program.=20

Qualified applicants will have K-12 certification and classroom experience =
teaching visual arts or music. 10-20 hours per week are available. =
Teachers are needed from 2:30-4:30 p.m.  weekdays with possible additional =
hours available. Arts4Kids teachers may have opportunities to teach =
regular classes before and after the Arts4Kids program. Candidates for =
teaching Art will have the ability to teach art history and criticism, =
design fundamentals, and studio skills in process-oriented projects. =
Candidates for Music will have the ability to teach music history, basic =
music theory principals, such as rhythm and pitch matching, and encourage =
group singing and musicality.  Music teacher candidate=92s knowledge of =
Kod=E1ly and/or Orff is preferred but not necessary.  The range for =
compensation is set between $20 and $25 per hour depending on experience.
