WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 6 at 4:00 p.m.

(Call-backs on THURSDAY the 7 at 4:00 p.m.)=20
THE SECRET  GARDEN is a Broadway musical with  AMAZING music and a moving=20
story about people who begin as wilting "flowers"  then bloom to life, just=20=
like=20
the Secret Garden itself.  =20
DATES:  Rehearsals will be Mondays through Thursdays from  4:00-6:00 p.m.,=20
starting Monday,  September 11.  In late-October,  weekday rehearsals will=20
extend to 7 p.m.  Performances will be November  10-19, 2006 on Fridays, Sat=
urdays=20
and Sundays.=20
INFORMATIONAL  MEETING:  There will be an informational meeting  at 4:00 p.m=
.=20
in the Music Room on Thursday, August 31.  The school is located at 3430=20
Rocky River  Drive in Cleveland.  We will talk about the musical and what  t=
o=20
prepare for the auditions.  =20
WHAT TO  PREPARE:  Bring sheet music of a two-minute  cutting of a song that=
=20
will show off your vocal range, your acting skills  and your personality.  A=
=20
piano  accompanist will be provided, but you may sing to a taped or CD=20
accompaniment IF  there is no other voice on the tape.  There will not be a=20=
dance=20
audition, though there will be dance in the  show.=20
DIRECTOR:  Patrick Janson,  Equity actor and director/musical director in hi=
s=20
ninth year at  Saint Joseph Academy, has appeared on numerous stages in=20
Cleveland, Chicago and  New York  City.  He has  been extremely fortunate to=
 work=20
closely with many legends in the theatre  industry, including Cy Coleman,=20
Stephen Schwartz, Jack Lee, Gordon Harrell,  Michael Blakemore, Stuart Ross,=
 Guy=20
Stroman and Jim Corti (all of whom have  created Broadway musicals).  He was=
 =20
Production Assistant for Cy Coleman on the Broadway musical The Life, and ha=
s=20
had many former  students in Broadway shows, national tours and major colleg=
e=20
theatre  programs.
