Let Freedom Ring!
 Conceived by Bill Rudman with Eric Coble, is the season-opener for Ensemble=
=20
Theatre, running on weekends from Sept. 1-17 at Ensemble's performance home,=
=20
the Brooks Theatre of the Cleveland Play House (8500 Euclid Ave.).
"Freedom" is a co-production of Ensemble and Musical Theater Education=20
Programming, in association with Baldwin-Wallace College's Music Theater Pro=
gram.
Subtitled "The Social Conscience of the American Musical," the revue=20
celebrates a stirring, often-overlooked tradition in this uniquely American=20=
art form.=20
It features more than 40 songs covering 75 years =E2=80=93 all of them deali=
ng with=20
social issues in ways that are witty, satirical, uplifting and sometimes=20
defiant.
"Freedom" salutes the work of George and Ira Gershwin, Irving Berlin, Yip=20
Harburg and Frank Loesser, among many other great songwriters, in selections=
 from=20
such classic musicals as "Of Thee I Sing," "Finian's Rainbow," "How to Succe=
ed
=E2=80=A6" and the recent "Ragtime."

The show features a company of five headed by Mick Houlahan and including=20
Erin Childs, Hannah DelMonte, Javar Parker and Mike Russo.

Post Show discussions with Bill Rudman and members of the cast and creative=20
team are after the performances on Sept 3,8,9,15 & 16

Preview, Friday Sept 1 at 8pm
Fridays 9/8 & 15 at 8pm
