  "THE FIGHTING DAYS"

  " The Fighting Days" focuses on the life and work of Francis Marion Beynon, a Canadian journalist and political activist during 1910- 1917 as she became a prominent voice for the rights of rural women, working for improved divorce, child custody, the Votes - for - Women movement, and other important issues of the day.  As Canada became involved in WWI, Beynon's defense of foreigners right to vote divided the suffragists: should all women have the vote or just Dominion - born women who are sending their husbands and sons off to battle? Should women use their votes to push for enlistment or to lobby for a swift end to the war?  

  Roles Available:

    2 women- age 25-35
  1 woman - age 18-25
  1 man- age 25-35

  Auditions will consist of reading from the script.  Please arrive at the start time for group readings.  Prepared monologues will be heard last.
  This will be a staged reading production with minimal rehearsal time.  All positions paid.
