This class will provide the basic tools for young actors to develop
their natural acting abilities.  Students will learn about stage
movement, emotion, learning lines and collaboration through games and
improv, as well as the creation and performance of their own play.
There will be a short presentation for family and friends on the final

Playwriting and Performing  (3rd - 4th grade)
Instructor: Dana Hart (Tuesday); Lissy Gulick (Saturday)
Tuesdays, Starting September 19, 2006;   4:30 - 5:45pm

Saturdays, Starting October 7, 2006 (last Class Dec 9) -11:00 - 12:15am
Fee: $125

In this class, students will learn the basics of playwriting and acting,
including character development, conflict, dramatic structure, stage
movement and emotion through games,
improv and writing exercises. The students will write a short play which
will be presented for family and friends on the final day of class.

Introduction to Scene Study  (5th - 6th grade)
Instructor: Dana Hart (Thursday); Lissy Gulick(Saturday)
Ten Sessions
Thursdays, Starting Starting September 21, 2006;   4:30 - 5:45pm

Students in this workshop-style class will have the opportunity to
explore a variety of acting styles and techniques through concentrated
study of various scenes and monologues.  Focus will be placed on
intentions, methods, research, preparation, movement and analysis.
Students will finish the class with a showcase for parents and friends.
