The play is based on the real-life romance of C.S. Lewis, best known as=20
the author of =E2=80=98=E2=80=98The Chronicles of Narnia=E2=80=99=E2=80=99 b=
ooks, and American poet Joy=20
Gresham.

William Nicholson=E2=80=99s play opened on Broadway in 1990 with Nigel=20
Hawthorne and Jane Alexander in the lead roles, and a film version in=20
1993 starred Anthony Hopkins and Debra Winger.

Heather Fenstermaker makes her TNT directing debut with a cast=20
featuring Roland Moore, Tom Tully, Jerry Kruse, Maureen Gregory, Josh=20
Butcher, Chase Rose, Brian Lee, Al McKinnon, Sonja Gavitt, Cleric=20
Costes and Ben Gavitt.

Brent Whetstone is assistant director and the technical crew includes=20
Susan Gillespie, Sara Bird and Eric Coulbourne.

=E2=80=98=E2=80=98Shadowlands=E2=80=99=E2=80=99 will be staged at 8 p.m. Fri=
day, Saturday and Sept.7,=20
8, 15, 16, 22 and 23 and 3 p.m. Sept. 24 at Trumbull New Theatre, 5883=20
Youngs-town-Warren Road.

It is the first of five shows scheduled for the 2006-07 season. Also on=20
