Character analysis and monologue work from Shakespeare will be the focus =
of this class. Students will learn to understand and speak in verse and =
iambic pentameter. An excellent audition preparation class.

Lighting for the Stage
Saturdays, 3:00 ~ 4:30, Three Classes, Offered Free by the Production =

Stage lighting is where technology meets art in the theatre. The =
lighting designer and technicians set the mood by knowing how light and =
color highlight or shadow any part of the stage or cast. The "how to" of =
design and execution of stage lighting for plays and musicals.

Class includes basic fundamentals, combinations, and lots of fun. A =
movement workshop specifically tailored for those who don't have a dance =

As an alternative to the usual Stanislavski / psychological through-line =
method of developing a character, transformational acting focuses on the =
moment-to-moment nature of personality and physical action in the =
creation of lively energetic, spontaneous characters. The class will =
include exercises to develop technique as well as their application in =
scene study and monologue work.
