2006 Shaker Heights High School grad Betsy Hogg is in
rehearsal for the upcoming Off-Broadway production of
THE PRIME OF MISS JEAN BRODIE. Cynthia Nixon plays
the title role.

Tickets are being sold for shows from September 20 -
November 11 , and I've been given permission to list a
code for discount tickets (information below).
Betsy's been having a wonderful
time, loves the cast and the play, and would be
thrilled to see any Clevelanders who might visit.

The play is by Jay Presson Allen, adapted from the
novel by Muriel Spark, and directed by Scott Elliott.
In a 1930s conservative Scottish girls' school, the
students idolize their scandalously outspoken teacher,
Miss Brodie, who preaches the value of art, passion,
and daring. But while Brodie's protégées avidly
follow her, her political ideals, personal rivalries
and frank sensuality are increasingly in danger of
destroying her and those around her.

LOCATION: The New Group is producing the play at the
Acorn Theatre, Theatre Row, 410 W. 42nd Street
(between 9th & 10th Avenues), New York, NY.
