This group show of work by Cleveland artists examines how as a community their common past informs their present work. Or as artist Frank Green wrote, “I am often introduced as “a local performance artist,” which for some reason makes me feel like a character in a TV sitcom. Just once I would like to be introduced as “a cross between a radar detective and a sonic boom.”
Featured artists: Judith Brandon, Robert Banks, Bruce, Edwards, Sally Hudak, Michael Loderstedt, Jerry Mann, Dennis Maxfield, Nancy Prudic, John Ranally, Elizzabeth Schiros and Beth Wolfe.

Wine and cheese reception, Friday, Sept. 22 6-9pm

Please contact the box office at 330.606.5317 for more information about shows or season passes. The following is a listing of our 2007 Season:
Fat Pig
By Neil LaBute
January 11 - February 11
Tom finds everything he wants in a woman, in Helen, an overweight librarian. They're perfect for each other until Tom's friends get a look at her and decide that she's a "fat pig." Can Tom put aside his friends and colleagues comments and be happy with what he's found, or will he succumb to a world that judges everything based on surface appearance?
Red Light Winter
By Adam Rapp
February 23 - March 25
Two friends and former college roommates spend an unforgettable night in Amsterdam's Red Light District with a gorgeous prostitute. That evening will form the beginning of a strange love triangle that will become even stranger when the prostitute unexpectedly arrives at their door in New York, almost a year later.
The Last Days of Judas Iscariot
By Stephen Adly Guirgis
April 6 - May 6
A chaotic and comic show that tackles age-old debates surrounding Judas Iscariot, and his betrayal of Jesus Christ and subsequent suicide. This trial in Downtown Purgatory, which calls on witnesses from Sigmund Freud and Mother Theresa to Pontius Pilate and the high priest, Caiaphas, attempts to put Judas' actions in perspective.
Pounding Nails in the Floor With My Forehead
By Eric Bogosian
May 18 - June 17
This one-man show is a series of monologues that deliver searing social commentary on subjects as diverse as the contemporary urban and suburban scene, subway pan-handlers, and barbecue - crazed millionaires. This brash solo show reveals the disturbing connections between us, and the people we try not see - and not to be - every day.
A Narrow Bridge
By Cliff Hershman
June 29 - July 29
This world premiere is an unrelenting look at a family fragmented by drugs, work pressures, and sexuality. Parents and siblings clash as they find out who they are and what they can hold onto in their lives.
A Day of Absence
By Douglas Turner Ward
August 10 - September 9
A satire about an imaginary old Southern town in which all of the African-Americans have suddenly disappeared. The Mayor pleads for their return, and he attempts to entice them by reminding them of their "wonderful" lives as chauffeurs and bus boys. Although they mysteriously return, the happening sobers the white community, and it's clear that nothing will be the same again.
The Dead Guy
By Eric Coble
September 21 - October 21
The Pitch: You get one million dollars to spend over the next seven days. A camera crew follows your every move and broadcasts your adventures on national television. The Hook: At the end of the week.you die. The Best Part: The viewing audience gets to vote on the method of your death! For hard-luck Eldon Phelps, the deal is irresistible. But does America have the stomach for this much reality? What would you do if you had one week until you became."The Dead Guy"? Stay tuned.
Bug
By Tracy Letts
November 2 - December 2
Set in a seedy motel room, the play centers on the meeting between a divorced waitress with a fondness for cocaine and isolation, and a soft-spoken Gulf War drifter. As they get to know one another, their relationship becomes more than platonic. Things are going well until her abusive ex-husband is released from prison, and begins to look for her. All the while, there's a hidden bug infestation that has the lovers dealing with scathing welts, prompting them to become paranoid. The paranoia escalates to conspiracy theories and strange psychological motives.

The Bang and The Clatter Theatre Company is currently taking appointments for auditions. If you are interested in auditioning for any of the 2007 Season shows, please call the box office at 330.606.5317 to arrange an appointment.
