CASSIDY THEATRE=E2=80=99S =E2=80=9CVISITING MR. GREEN=E2=80=9D INVOLVES RAR=
E THEATRE TRIAD

Parma Heights =E2=80=93 When Cassidy Theatre Director Joseph Hnat cast Fran=
k Mularo and Dan Sekanic in the upcoming two-man production of the play Vis=
iting Mr. Green, he didn=E2=80=99t consider that he was also creating a rar=
e theatre triad =E2=80=93 a project in which the Director and the character=
s in it are all experienced stage directors. It=E2=80=99s a theatre triple=
-play that has created an increased atmosphere of collaboration and trust d=
uring the process of mounting the production. =E2=80=9CIt=E2=80=99s been a=
pleasure working on this project,=E2=80=9D says Hnat. =E2=80=9CIt=E2=80=
=99s a blessing to work with actors who are also directors themselves. It=
=E2=80=99s rare to have the level of trust in the instincts of your actors =
that I have in Dan and Frank. This has been a real team effort and it is g=
oing to be a very special production because of it.=E2=80=9D

Visiting Mr. Green was written by New York playwright Jeff Baron and premie=
red in 1997. It has been described as a mix between The Odd Couple and Tue=
sdays With Morrie. Visiting Mr. Green tells the story of Mr. Green, and ol=
d man set in his ways and Ross Gardiner, a progressive young professional w=
ho meet by accident (literally). Ross is assigned to visit Mr. Green once =
a week as a community service sentence. What starts out as a nuisance for =
both men, turns into understanding and friendship as the weeks go on. Afte=
r a year-long run at the Union Square Theatre in New York, Visiting Mr. Gre=
en has been translated into 22 languages and performed around the world in =
300 separate productions. In 1999, Baron was invited to speak at the Unite=
d Nations and to present a reading of Visiting Mr. Green. He recently comp=
leted a screenplay for a film of the play to star Eli Wallach, who starred =
as Mr. Green on Broadway.

Joseph Hnat is a well-known actor and director and has worked on numerous C=
assidy productions. He was last seen on the Cassidy Theatre stage this pas=
t season as =E2=80=9CMr. Mushnik=E2=80=9D in the award-winning production o=
f Little Shop of Horrors. Dan Sekanic (Ross Gardiner), directed last seaso=
n=E2=80=99s production of You Can=E2=80=99t Take It With You at the Cassidy=
, which was voted Best Play of the season. Frank Mularo (Mr. Green), is a =
long-time favorite on area stages and has won numerous Cassidy Theatre awar=
ds in the dozens of productions at the theatre over the years.

Visiting Mr. Green runs Fridays and Saturdays at 8pm and Sundays at 3pm fro=
m October 6th through October 22nd. Call (440) 842-4600 for ticket reserva=
tions. Tickets are $15 for adults, $14 for students and seniors. The Cass=
idy Theatre is located in the Greenbrier Commons, 6200 Pearl Road in Parma =
Heights.
