Ohio Dance Theatre's 3rd Season of Fairy Tale Ballets begins on Sunday, October 22nd at Magnificat Performing Arts Center, 20770 Hilliard Blvd, Rocky River, with a 3 pm performance of The Fairy Forest.

At just the right length - approximately one hour - and with just the right balance of interactive fun and graceful dancing, this colorful production is a wonderful introduction to the world of dance for children of all ages.

Narrated by Mr. Hatbox, named by Cleveland Magazine as "the storyteller kids really like", and choreographed by Julliard garduate Marie Zvosec, this original ballet blends energetic humor with with artistry and visual power of Ohio Dance Theatre's professional company.

The story involves Pixi and her friends who live in an enchanted glen deep in the forest.  That's where they grant dream and wishes to children around the world.  When Crabbina, a bad fairy, is kicked out of her prickerbush, she creates havoc in the Fairy Forest. Set to ballet music written by Sir Arthur Sullivan, this heart-warming and magical story is for the child in everyone.

Be sure to bring your camera, becaues when the show ends of the stage, the magic continues in the theatre lobby where children can meet all the magical characters.
