CLAGUE PLAYHOUSE TO HOLD AUDITIONS FOR WINTER COMEDY  FARCE=20
Auditions will be held for the  Cleveland premiere of the comedic  farce, An=
=20
Empty Plate in the Caf=C3=A9 Du Grand Boeuf by Michael Hollinger,  on Octobe=
r 16 &=20
17 at 7:30pm at the Clague  Playhouse.  The production is  scheduled for a=20
four week run starting January 12, 2006.  The theatre is located at 1371 Cla=
gue =20
Road in  Westlake. The theatre is a wonderful  and intimate 93 seat=20
performance space. =20
Set in the Caf=C3=A9 du Grand  Boeuf in Paris on a steamy night in July, 196=
1, the=20
play=E2=80=99s funny story  unfolds with the arrival of Victor, the Caf=C3=
=A9=E2=80=99s=20
Hemingway-quoting, love-torn  American owner and sole patron. The Caf=C3=A9=20=
exists only for=20
the dining pleasure of  Victor and his beloved Mademoiselle. However, tonigh=
t=20
he enters alone and  morose. =20
Victor announces he wishes to die of  starvation at his own table. The=20
frantic staff, led by his wife and waitress and  waiter-in-training Antoine,=
 whose=20
very existences depend on Victor=E2=80=99s appetite,  try unsuccessfully to=20=
change his=20
mind.  The subsequent feast of adjectives, comedy, mystery and an unexpected=
 =20
twist or two, add to the play=E2=80=99s delights. =20
Director Ron Newell is looking to  cast four male and two female roles. =20
