"48 Hours of Making Art" comes to Lake Erie College=20

- Twenty-four artists will live, eat, sleep and socialize on site for 48
hours while making art -

(Painesville, Ohio) - Twenty-four artists from throughout the United
States will converge on the campus of Lake Erie College by 7 p.m. on
Friday, October 20, and will remain on site for 48 hours living, eating,
sleeping, socializing and making art. The widely popular "48 Hours of
Making Art" exhibition will take place in the B.K. Smith Gallery at Lake
Erie College.=20

The public is invited to interact with artists as they create works of
varying media - including film, music, dance and site specific
installations. The gallery will be open to the public from noon to 7
p.m. on October 21 and 22. On Sunday, October 22, the artists will
install the work they created and it will remain on view through Friday,
November 17. A reception is also scheduled for Friday, October 27 from
7:00-10:00 p.m.

The B.K. Smith Gallery is located on the east side of Lake Erie College
on Gillett Street near Phillips Osborne School. Gallery hours are Monday
through Friday 10 a.m.-6 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday noon-5 p.m. =20

Founded in 1856, Lake Erie College is a dynamic and progressive
institution of higher education. The College offers 26 undergraduate
majors, including new programs in sports management, forensic psychology
and therapeutic horsemanship, as well as master's degrees in business
administration and education. This coeducational college, grounded in
