DAY BY DAY AT THE 2006 OHIO INDEPENDENT FILM FESTIVAL, NOVEMBER 5-12.

Cleveland, Ohio-Please join us for the 2006 Ohio Independent Film
Festival,
November 5-12.. All events are presented at Cleveland Public Theatre's
Gordon Square Theatre, 6405 Detroit Ave., and are $10/program. Surf

festival for details on after-festival parties Thursday, Friday,
Saturday and Sunday nights with Stella Artois as the festival party
sponsor. Some daily highlights include:

=B7 Sunday, November 5, 10AM-6PM: 7th ANNUAL DIRECTOR OF PHOTOGRAPHY
(DP) WORKSHOP
 with Robert C. Banks, Jr., Adam White, and Matthias Saunders. An IP
signature event, this wildly popular, hands-on workshop allows
participants to help DPs light and shoot scenes on 16mm film, 35mm
film and in HD which are then screened the next weekend at the
festival. Fee is $75, which includes lunch (provided by CHIPOTLE) the
day of the workshop and a free pass to the festival the entire week.
Limited seating available, reservations must be made and paid for in
advance, deadline November 1. Location is at  IDEASTREAM , 1375 Euclid
Avenue, Cleveland, Ohio.

=B7 Tuesday, November 7, 6PM , CAR STORIES - From Henry Ford's Model T
to the Honda Hybrid, if you have a passion for cars, you aren't alone.
 Stop by this screening to see the Grand Prix of Cleveland's show car
parked in front of the theatre and get general admission tickets the
Grand Prix of Cleveland 2007 with every ticket purchased for this film.
Followed, 8PM by the documentary UGANDA RISING.
For children who have never known peace, the fight for hope never
ends. Uganda Rising chronicles the 20-year civil war raging in
Northern Uganda between the Ugandan Government and the Lord's
Resistance Army.  This film is sponsored by American Friends Service
Committee and its Africa Initiative Program featuring the Red Hot
Embers Visual Display.

=B7 Wednesday, November 8,  at 6pm we present a shorts program=97and then
at 8PM =96 two films on immigration sponsored by Margaret Wong & Assoc.

2000 MILES NORTH
2000 Miles North takes a humanizing look at illegal immigration by
examining its impact in rural Ohio's Tuscarawas County, where a
thousand Guatemalans have found a home in the last decade.

LETTERS FROM THE OTHER SIDE
LETTERS FROM THE OTHER SIDE interweaves video letters carried across
the U.S./Mexico order with the intimate stories of women left behind
in post-NAFTA Mexico. By focusing on a side of the immigration story
rarely told by the media or touched upon in our national debate,
LETTERS paints a complex portrait of families torn apart by economics,
communities dying at the hands of globalization, and governments
incapable or unwilling to do anything about it.

=B7 Thursday, November 9, 2PM-8PM: OHIO DAY, films written, directed,
photographed, and starring Ohioans, starting at 2PM and running until
10PM. 2PM =96Shorts, At 4PM we present AFTER THE INVASION OF THE GIANT
TERMITES, at 6PM we present THE GREATER GOOD and at 8PM is HORRORS OF WAR.

=B7 Friday, November 10: 6PM  : ADVENTURES IN GEOCACHING (with a raffle
with prizes provided by Tupperware and the Cleveland Metroparks), THE
BEEHIVE =96 a short documentary on a super stylized salon in Walla Walla
Washington, and THEMES =96 an artistic look at the current state of the
world.=20
 8PM brings on another program of short films.

=B7 Saturday, November 11, NOON - 8PM: Short and feature films all day
and night,
one highlight at 4PM is the Ohio premiere of the feature film THE HIP
HOP PROJECT =96=20
>From Executive Producers Bruce Willis and Queen Latifah, THE HIP HOP
PROJECT is the dynamic and inspirational story of a group of   New
York City teenagers who transform their life stories into powerful
work of art, using hip hop as a vehicle for self-development and
personal discovery.

=B7 Sunday, November 12, noon-8p: Short and feature films all day and
night, one
highlight - at 2PM is the Ohio premiere of the feature film DRESS
REHEARSAL, an intricately told story of actors, their dreams, and
disappointments. At 6PM we present our FAVORITE SONS PROGRAM=96 a series
of shorts from Matt Bartel, Robert Banks, and Chip Karpus.
