Re:  KARAMU PERFORMING ARTS THEATRE 15th  ANNUAL R. JOYCE WHITLEY  FESTIVAL
OF NEW PLAYS-ARENAFEST DEADLINE EXTENDED to Friday, 

November 17th

Karamu Performing Arts Theatre is accepting original full length plays from
unknown and established playwrights for it's 15th Annual R. Joyce Whitley
Festival of New Plays ARENAFEST. Karamu has a high standard for excellence
and discipline and expects that from the playwright with well-written,
well-constructed plays that celebrate the African American experience. Plays
that are multi-ethnic are also welcomed. Through this festival, Karamu House
Inc, seeks to nurture promising playwrights. Scripts must be postmarked
before or on November 17, 2006. 

Scripts selected for ARENAFEST  will be presented as stage readings
Monday-Friday at 8:00 pm, May 14th through May 25, 2007, with audience
discussions following the nightly readings.
