Greetings,

Standing Rock Cultural Arts is proud to announce that we have received a
2007 Arts Access Grant from the Ohio Arts Council for the second year in a
row. These grants are highly competitive and enable small organizations t=
o
bring art to the community. We wish to thank the Ohio Arts Council for
their continued support and look forward to providing our community with
another year of innovative art and educational activities.

Why the OAC Supports the Arts Access Program

The Ohio Arts Council believes that state tax dollars invested in small and
emerging arts organizations strengthen the presence of the arts in Ohio
communities and affirm the inherent value of the arts to all Ohioans.

What the Program Supports:

The Arts Access program provides funds for organizations that have never
before applied for OAC funding, startup organizations, community-driven
one-time projects, and organizations with budgets under $25,000.

Arts Access grants are competitive; the most successful applications plan
carefully and work to assemble a broad base of local financial support for
their activity.

Thank you for supporting the Arts,

Jeff Ingram/Executive Director

Jean ZarzourFrom My Most Recent Students=20

Jean- Thank you so much for all your help and guidance over these past =
eight weeks. The time just flew and I just couldn't believe how much =
work was covered in that time. It was such a great experience! You =
truly do help us to "find our voice"! I would highly recommend this to =
anyone getting started in the business!! The trip to The Reel Thing =
was totally awesome! Jimmy, I was so impressed with the way you work =
your "magic" to make our demo sound so professional! You and Jean =
together make such a great team for helping us "newbie's" out! Thanks =
again for a great experience!

 Thanks again - Cathy Nadolski

-------------------------------------------------------------------------=
---------------------------------------------------------------

=20

This work is far harder than anyone has a clue about. You've been so =
honest about what it really takes, Jean. Hard work. Much like any other =
area of acting. I so appreciate all the experiences I've had in =
connection with this class. It was quite an experience to see how it's =
all really done at The Reel Thing. How great to walk out with a =
completed CD! And how fast the voice and music came together via Jimmy's =
expertise was quite amazing to me. So many choices and he chose what was =
perfect with no effort at all. It's been an outstanding experience! =
    =20

Hope to see you soon, Beverly

-------------------------------------------------------------------------=
----------------------------------------------------------------

=20

After just two voice over classes with Jean Zarzour, I was so inspired! =
You really get a sense of her knowledge and experience in the field. =
Jean then prepared us for the recording experience by telling us that =
Jimmy at The Reel Thing was the best and that he would take time with =
each one of us to make our demos top notch. This was exactly what we =
got! Right away, you get a sense that you're working with someone who =
"reely" knows what he's doing. Working with such professionalism =
elevates us. Having the recording experience is a valuable part of the =
course because it shows us how it's done the "Reel" way! (Sorry, =
couldn't resist!) =20

Thank you again Jean! You ROCK, Sista! All the Best - Sharon=20

-------------------------------------------------------------------------=
----------------------------------------------------------------

=20

I cannot tell you how thrilled I am with your class. It is so above and =
beyond what I had imagined. I just hope you will have more classes in =
the future--you have so much to share & I want to learn it ALL!!!! =
Recording at The Reel Thing last night was fantastic -- what a unique =
opportunity to record our work at a professional sound studio! Jimmy =
was AMAZING -- it's obvious why he's so successful -- I loved watching =
him editing the takes, choosing the perfect music for each one of us, =
gently encouraging us to change bits of our copy and making us all sound =
the best we could be. It was all so wonderful!!!!! =20

Ellen=20

-------------------------------------------------------------------------=
-----------------------------------------------------------------

=20

Jean shares her knowledge and expertise in the art & craft, as well as =
the field of voice over work, and her sense of humor and approachable =
personality make her a joy to work with. I thought the recording =
experience at The Reel Thing was the perfect way to wrap up eight =
weeks of class. It was amazing to put our skills to the test in the =
"real world" setting of a professional studio, and to hear the final =
results! Jimmy was great to work with. He was professional and =
personable, and he gave very helpful feedback. It was also fun to watch =
him in action with all the music & mixing! I had a great time in class, =
and I feel like I learned a lot!!! Thanks for sharing your skills, =
wisdom & friendship! =20

Nicole=20

-------------------------------------------------------------------------=
-----------------------------------------------------------------

=20

This class helps you take what you see and hear on TV and Radio =
commercials and apply it to your own work. You'll come out sounding just =
as professional as you can be. Recording at The Reel Thing is the =
perfect end to the class because it shows us that all of our hard work =
has paid off. You come away with a very professional radio spot. =20

Laurel Johnson

-----------------------------------------------------------------

                                                                         =
                                                                         =
                                                                         =
                                                                         =
I loved working with funny lady Jean =
Zarzour. She's as entertaining offstage as she is on, knows the =
business, and has a terrific ear (and voice!) Whether you're just =
beginning or, like me, need to have the rust polished off your skills, =
she can take you from printed page to a ready for prime time MP3 demo =
tape." Marje Rody (listed with =

                                                                         =
                                                                         =
                                                                         =
                                                                         =
I took VO classes from Jean Zarzour for a little over six =
months. Her skill and candor have helped me slowly emerge from my =
reserved shell and become acclimated to the crazy business of voiceovers =
and enthusiastic speech. Thanks to Jean Zarzour's outstanding guidance, =
colleagues and acquaintances have noticed a marked difference in my =
verbal demeanor during simple occasions such as voicemail messages and =
general conversation with clients. That alone has been worth my time =
and effort!" Coletta West (see her on www.artistschair.com)
