Series continues with a performance by the most distinguished brass =20
ensemble in the United States=97the American Brass Quintet (ABQ)=97on =20=

Sunday, November 12, 2006, at 3 p.m. The concert takes place in =20
Oberlin=92s historic Finney Chapel, located at 90 North Professor =20
Street, across from Tappan Square in Oberlin. Finney Chapel is =20
wheelchair accessible, and free parking is available throughout the =20
campus.

The quintet=97trumpeters Raymond Mase and Kevin Cobb, David Wakefield =20=

on horn, Michael Powell on trombone, and bass trombonist John Rojak=97=20=

will present a program featuring ABQ editions of Renaissance masters, =20=

Cleveland native Eric Ewazen=92s Colchester Fantasy, and Joan Tower=92s =20=

Copperwave, a 2006 ABQ commission.

Reserved seat-tickets are $7 for students, $16 for seniors and those =20
with an Oberlin College I.D., and $20 for the general public. They =20
may be purchased in advance by calling Oberlin's Central Ticket =20
Service at 1-800-371-0178. Tickets purchased at the door the night of =20=

the concert are an additional $3.

continuously performing brass quintet in North America. Currently in =20
its 46th season, the ABQ tours nationally and internationally, and =20

festival in the world. The only brass quintet to have ever been =20
presented on PBS=92 Live =46rom Lincoln Center, the ABQ=92s burgeoning =20=

discography represents the largest body of serious brass chamber =20
music ever recorded by one ensemble.
